Alida Potgieter
I am a well-known parent and learner educational support specialist in Stellenbosch with over 21 years of experience. I work with learners and the parents of learners with special needs: academically, socially and emotionally.
I am passionate about the well-being of children. I believe in a holistic approach when supporting learners. This means looking at their academic, social and emotional development as well as their physical well-being. I work together with all the role players in a learner's life: teachers, tutors, therapists and parents. I guide parents on how to assist their children and provide the correct tools for them to do so.

- B.Prim Ed IV (University of Stellenbosch)
- Diploma in Learners with Special Educational Needs (UNISA)
- B.Ed HONS in Educational Support (University of Stellenbosch)
- Certified Play Practitioner (Play Therapy International)
WHAT WE DO
Our Services
We offer specialised learner support for learners from grade R to grade 10, building their confidence to become successful learners, as well as parent support to help you understand how your child learns best, and how you can support them in their studies.
ONLINE STUDY COURSES
We offer online study courses for Grade 4-8 learners, working through our curated study material and helping them understand their learning method, and building confidence in their studying skills.
CONSULTATIONS
We believe the success of a learner is partly based on the quality of support they receive at home and in the classroom. We offer a range of consultation services to parents, teachers, tutors and people in other learner support roles.
WEBINARS
Alida Potgieter presents regular webinars for parents and learners where she delves deeper into some of the support structures & strategies, and answers the popular questions parents have about how they can support their child.
